Professional Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of public and hybrid cloud solutions. In this role, you will work closely with business teams to assess existing environments, design target public cloud architectures aligned with industry standards (e.g., Azure Well-Architected Framework), and execute workload migrations from on-premises to Azure using modern migration strategies (6R) and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Design: Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure Azure solutions, including Azure Networking, Azure Functions, AppService, Data Factory, Azure File Share, RBAC, Storage, Azure Databases, Sentinel, Backup/Recovery, Azure AD, and AKS.
• Workload Migration: Lead customer workload migrations from on-premises to Azure utilizing 6R methodologies (Rehosting, Re-platforming, Refactoring, etc.).
• Target Architecture Diagrams: Create, present, and validate target cloud architecture diagrams with client stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Implement IaC using Terraform, Bicep, and/or ARM templates to automate infrastructure deployment, security controls, and routine operational tasks.
• Security & Governance: Enforce cloud security best practices, custom RBAC, virtual machine hardening, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and compliance governance.
• DevOps Collaboration: Partner with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, automated monitoring, and release management processes.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior technical staff and establish architectural best practices for the broader Cloud Engineering team.

Technical Requirements (Must-Have)

• Azure Architecture & Hybrid Cloud: Proven track record in designing and deploying complex Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Deep hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Azure Networking: Strong expertise in VNets, Hub-Spoke topology, VPN, ExpressRoute, and network security patterns.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Practical experience automating deployments and integrating with DevOps pipelines.
• Cloud Security & Governance: Experience with Azure Policy, RBAC, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel.
• Containers & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with containerized workloads and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Migration Strategies: Practical knowledge of 6R application migration techniques.
• Language: Advanced / Fluent English (verbal and written).

• Multi-Cloud Exposure: AWS architecture experience.
• FinOps: Cloud cost optimization and financial management awareness.
• Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Enterprise Architecture: Working knowledge of TOGAF or equivalent frameworks.
• Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Associate certifications.
