Electrical Engineer / Electro Mechanical Engineer

Professional Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer / Electro Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of domain expertise in Medium Voltage (MV) and Switchboard Manufacturing. This role acts as a technical coordinator and design lead interfacing between onshore teams in Mexico and global engineering teams (USA/India). The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience in MV control gear/switchgear schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layout designs, and standard compliance (ANSI, IEEE, UL, IEC, NEMA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Coordinate project details, engineering requirements, and delivery schedules directly with local customer/plant teams and offshore engineering units.
  • Design & Drafting Review: Interpret and evaluate three-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, mimic bus flow diagrams, and detailed electrical wiring diagrams for medium voltage assemblies.
  • Component Selection & Wiring: Select appropriate electrical symbols/components based on technical specs and BOMs; specify correct wire sizes, markers, and wire terminations (ring/fork terminals) for power and control circuits.
  • Quality & Technical Resolutions: Perform thorough quality checks on electrical schematics against single-line and three-line diagrams. Update redlines and affected drawings based on customer revisions or manufacturing deviations.
  • Offshore Leadership: Serve as a single point of contact (SPOC) to clarify technical queries and provide domain training to offshore design teams.

Technical Requirements (Must-Have)

  • Experience: 10+ years of core electrical engineering experience focused on Medium Voltage (MV) systems.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven track record in the Switchboard Manufacturing domain and switchgear/control gear panel layout design.
  • Design Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent electrical CAD software.
  • Technical Mastery: In-depth understanding of control power transformers, voltage/current transformers, protective relays, and pilot devices.
  • Language: Fluent/Advanced English (mandatory for international coordination).

Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have)

  • Software/ERP: Experience with E-base, SAP (or similar ERP systems), and complex engineering Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Industry Standards: Strong familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, IEC, and NEMA standards for power distribution applications.
