Job Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with 3+ years of professional experience to join our technical team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong electrical engineering foundation, practical troubleshooting capabilities, and a proactive, self-driven approach to adapting to new equipment, industrial systems, and operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Maintenance: Support the installation, operation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical systems and industrial equipment.
- Diagnostics & Problem Solving: Diagnose complex electrical issues, identify root causes, and execute practical technical solutions.
- Documentation Review: Review and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, engineering specifications, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Testing & Commissioning: Assist with equipment inspections, electrical testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and commissioning activities.
- System Reliability: Identify opportunities to improve electrical system performance, safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineering, maintenance, operations, and production teams.
- Reporting & Compliance: Maintain technical records, procedure documentation, and reports while adhering to applicable safety standards and engineering guidelines.
Technical Requirements (Must-Have)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional engineering experience in electrical systems, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Technical Skills: Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Troubleshooting: Practical hands-on troubleshooting experience with electrical machinery and infrastructure.
- Language: Professional working proficiency in conversational and written English.
- Location/Relocation: Willingness and availability to work onsite in El Paso, TX (relocation required if not local).
Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience in industrial/manufacturing automation, PLCs, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and control panels.
- Experience with electrical distribution systems, motors, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in commissioning and preventive/corrective maintenance programs.
