Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Packet Core / SDM Engineer with specialized expertise in deploying Subscriber Data Management (SDM) Nodes within Telco Cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical proficiency across 4G and 5G network architectures, call flows, and cloud-native implementations (VNFs/CNFs).

Key Responsibilities

• Deployment & Integration: Lead end-to-end deployment, integration, and upgrading of SDM network elements across 2G, 4G, and 5G environments.
• Architecture & Design: Design and implement SDM solutions in accordance with High-Level Design (HLD) and Detailed Level Design (DLD) specifications.
• Cloud Implementation: Deploy SDM solutions on VNF and CNF architectures within Telco Cloud environments.
• Component Management: Install, configure, integrate, test (ATP/UAT), and upgrade SDM components including SDL, PGW, SDLA, AUSF, and UDM.
• Cloud Platform Operations: Support deployment and operational activities for cloud-native SDM solutions on OpenStack, VMware, Docker, and OpenShift.
• Testing & Validation: Perform system validation, interoperability testing, and multi-vendor integrations.
• Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve network issues using Wireshark, system logs, and protocol-level debugging tools.
• Technical Support: Provide expert technical support for SDM call flows (2G/4G/5G, VoLTE, VoWiFi, IoT).
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional onsite and offshore engineering teams to achieve deployment milestones.

Technical Requirements (Must-Have)

• Overall Experience: 8+ years of telecommunications engineering experience.
• SDM / SDL Domain Expertise: Minimum 3+ years in Shared Data Layer (SDL) solution implementation and upgrades.
• Network Architectures & Protocols: Deep understanding of 4G/5G call flows, VoLTE, VoWiFi, IoT, Diameter, LDAP, SOAP, HTTP, and GSM SS7.
• Cloud & Virtualization: Hands-on experience deploying SDM as BareMetal, VNFs, and CNFs across Linux, VMware, Docker, OpenStack, and OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Advanced capability with network diagnostic tools, specifically Wireshark.
• Design Documents: Proven ability to interpret and execute against HLD and DLD technical documentation.

Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have)

• Hands-on experience with SDL data migrations.
• Working knowledge of Nokia SDL, PGW, and SDLA solutions.

• Must be based in Argentina (Córdoba location strongly preferred).
• Spanish language fluency is required; English proficiency is desirable.
• Willingness to be onsite based on specific customer requirements.
