Professional Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to drive operational excellence, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives within a medical device manufacturing environment. This role leads Lean and Six Sigma projects to optimize manufacturing performance, streamline processes, eliminate waste, and ensure compliance with strict quality management systems and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence Leadership: Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to drive measurable improvements in manufacturing quality, cost, delivery, and operational performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies, eliminate non-value-added activities, improve process capability, and establish standardized work practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Facilitate Kaizen workshops, execute Value Stream Mapping (VSM) sessions, perform Root Cause Investigations, and apply DMAIC methodologies.
- Data Analysis & Metrics: Analyze operational metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and statistical data to support evidence-based decisions and sustain operational gains.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Project Leadership & Coaching: Manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, train and coach teams on Lean and Six Sigma tools, and drive change management.
- Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to Quality Management Systems (QMS), regulatory standards, and Medical Device Manufacturing Practices.
Technical Requirements (Must-Have)
- Proven experience as a Senior Industrial Engineer or Process Improvement Engineer within Medical Device Manufacturing or a highly regulated industry.
- Hands-on expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma tools, and DMAIC problem-solving methodology.
- Strong track record of facilitating Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and manufacturing operational metrics/KPIs.
Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Strong change management and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Deep understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and FDA regulatory requirements.
