Professional Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Factory Director to support the overall management of our textile manufacturing operations in Port Said, Egypt. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in denim garment production, washing operations, and garment manufacturing, backed by a proven track record in factory management, operational excellence, production efficiency, quality assurance, and team leadership.

Working closely with the Factory Director, you will drive manufacturing processes to consistently meet production targets, quality standards, cost objectives, and delivery schedules while fostering continuous improvement across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Management: Support the Factory Director in overseeing daily operations across the manufacturing facility, including Denim Garment Manufacturing, Washing, and Garment Assembly.
  • Execution & KPI Tracking: Ensure production plans are executed efficiently to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets; monitor factory KPIs, production efficiency, and labor productivity.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, and HR teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify production bottlenecks, implement corrective/preventive actions, and drive lean initiatives to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and environmental standards. Monitor washing quality and finishing standards to align with customer requirements.
  • Strategic & Resource Planning: Support capacity planning, resource allocation, operational planning, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and supervisors within a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Reporting: Prepare operational performance updates and reports for senior management.

Technical Requirements (Must-have)

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in textile manufacturing, including proven managerial experience in large-scale operations.
  • Domain Expertise: Mandatory hands-on experience in Denim Garment Manufacturing, Garment Production, and Washing Operations.
  • Operations Knowledge: Deep understanding of production planning, industrial engineering, quality management, factory operations, and manufacturing reporting tools/ERP systems.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership, people management, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Mobility: Willingness to relocate and reside in Egypt.

Desired Skills (Nice-to-have)

  • Background with international textile manufacturing companies or high-volume factories.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Experience with sustainability and compliance standards in the apparel industry.
  • Exposure to global apparel brands and international customer requirements.
  • Previous overseas factory management or international assignment experience.
  • Conversational or fluent Arabic language skills.
