Professional Summary

We are seeking an experienced Planning Assistant Manager to support our textile manufacturing operations in Egypt. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning within the textile industry and will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery, optimizing capacity utilization, and collaborating closely with production, sourcing, merchandising, and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Planning Manager in developing and executing production plans aligned with customer demand and business priorities.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor production capacity, machine loading, and workforce utilization.
  • Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Merchandising, and Quality teams to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Track order progress, identify potential delays, and propose corrective actions when necessary.
  • Analyze production performance, material availability, and capacity constraints.
  • Maintain accurate planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Prepare planning reports, KPIs, and production forecasts for management.
  • Ensure efficient inventory levels by balancing raw material availability and production requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase planning efficiency and reduce production bottlenecks.
  • Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings and cross-functional planning activities.

Technical Requirements (Must-Have)

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of production planning experience in the textile manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with multiple production lines.
  • Good understanding of textile production processes (weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing, or garment manufacturing).
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have)

  • Previous international manufacturing experience.
  • Willingness to relocate and live in Egypt.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of KPI reporting and production performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with supply chain planning processes.
  • Arabic language skills.
